Dear Church Family,

For nearly 100 years, Center Grove has been a church with doors open to everyone, regardless of where they are on their spiritual journey.  Reaching out to people with the gospel and preaching and teaching the Word have always been at the heart of our church – part of our “DNA.”

For reasons unknown this side of heaven, God has worked in some extraordinary ways at Center Grove over the years.  In this church, there are literally hundreds upon hundreds of ‘life-change’ stories with a common theme: a person touched by the grace of God.  People are what God cares about most.  That is the amazing heart of God.  He will pay the ultimate price to rescue them – and did at Calvary!

But why Center Grove?  Why her explosive growth in the 1990’s?  Why has He restored her and brought her to a place of growth again?  We cannot know all that He is doing truly.  But by His grace and for His glory, He has shown us yet again that He is ready to use us and bless us to be a blessing to the lost and to the saved who want to make their lives count.

However, Center Grove is now at a critical point in its history.  We have unpledged debt.  At the same time, we have physical space constraints that make our open doors feel closed to new people; Worship Center seats can be difficult to find, our Adult Life Group classrooms are at maximum capacity, and other ministry challenges, once on the future horizon, are now a very present reality.  It is clear that God has called on us to respond, especially in the preschool and children’s area.

The 4 Him Campaign at Center Grove is about continuing our mission of making disciples to change the world.  It is not ultimately about dollars and buildings, although it requires both.  In this brochure, you will learn the details of our vision for what lies ahead and your opportunity to participate.

The 4 Him Campaign will require sacrifice as a church body that only God can orchestrate.  A vision of this scale in times like these is a matter of real faith and is possible only when aligned with His direction.  With a clear focus on the lives to be changed during Center Grove’s next chapter, the 4 Him Campaign will remain an issue of the heart… His and ours.

As you pray and seek Him, please know I remain
